There are a few things to note this week - main thing is that I have added in some basic search functionality. You can pull up the old news posts, and also search for strips based on the Author's name, or on keywords in the Strip title. Give it a try, I know it's pretty basic at this point but it does work ;)

I have also added a "More strips by this author" link on the strips page - so if you find a strip that you like, you can just click that to see all the other strips that person has submitted. This feature used to be available, and it's pretty handy, so I added it back in to the site.

One of the other things I have been slowly working on, is adding in all the classic news posts, the ones Tycho used to send out to the mailing list back in the day. I think I have most of them, and there are a shitload. I'll be working may way through them as time permits and adding them to the news archives - check them out under the Search page!

Currently I have added in the first news post Tycho ever posted (that I could find). I've also posted the last two newsposts Tycho made before theBench.org went down.

This week I've got a bit of a surprise: some of the first Bench strips ever created, some of which I think were created by the inventors of this site themselves, Tycho and Gabe. I don't think these are available anywhere else online right now, as it would appear they are no longer available in the Penny Arcade archives.

There are thirty-six (36!!) classic Bench strips in total, to space things out a bit I will post six of them a week - hopefully by then we will be getting a more constant stream of submissions.

So, without further ado, here are the first six classics, including the dates they were posted!
